Following a research project held by our founders in 2015, Caracol was founded in 2017 to overcome the limits of existing AM technologies. Combining technological innovation with an industrial vision, we aim at providing a new manufacturing paradigm to respond to client’s needs for efficiency and sustainability in production. HERON AM is our Large-Format Additive Manufacturing system, developed to evolve the possibilities of Additive Manufacturing on scale, shape, and materials. It is composed by a robotized extrusion head, with direct and continuous feeding of composites and polymers, a dedicated software platform for the most complex tool paths, and many more features fully integrated to manufacture advanced industrial parts. HERON AM is one of the best robotic LFAM systems globally: an integrated hardware and software, turnkey solution able to maximize flexibility, process control, and performance to produce advanced components for high-performing industrial sectors, both on-demand and in-situ. Following the “application-first” approach, the system can be customized for different manufacturing requirements and applications in the Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Marine, Architecture and Design sectors.

Today, HERON AM is helping customers achieve their productivity, efficiency, and sustainability goals.
