
COMISSAO DE COORDENACAO E DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONAL DO CENTRO(CCDR)
CCDRC is a regional agency of the Portuguese government that deals with environment, land use, urban planning and regional development in Centro Region of Portugal.
Within the regional development competences, CCDRC coordinates the regional smart specialisation strategy (S3) and promotes the internationalisation of the regional innovation ecosystem.
CCDRC is also the Managing Authority of Regional Programme of Centro Region, mobilising European Structural and Investment Funds, and, in this context, it supports research and technological development projects aligned with the regional smart specialisation areas.
In Centro region, CCDRC is the responsible body for the development of the regional agenda for the Circular Economy (which was developed in the context of the national Action Plan), and is structured in five priorities: Research and Technological Development to support the transition to the EC; Circular Procurement; Education, awareness and capacity building; Business strategies and industrial symbioses; and Circular economy as a driver for innovation and territorial cohesion.
