Sustainability is one of the main goals of EGP and the key factor and driver of inclusive growth, taking a stand on the fight against global climate change. Enel Green Power has set ambitious and measurable goals as it strives to guarantee a truly global and widespread access to clean and reliable energy. EGP suppliers help make sure that the components used and the infrastructures are ever more sustainable, from a social, environmental and economic standpoint. EGP works hand in hand with its largest clients to join forces in delivering long-lasting sustainability projects.
Producing clean energy from renewable sources is just one part of the puzzle: its business embraces sustainability in every single phase of a project's lifecycle.
ROLE IN THE PROJECT
EGP collaborates in many initiatives for the management of its assets end-of-life; for this reason, it also actively takes part in DeremCo project, for which it leads Work Package 1, related to the “Requirements of the interregional demonstration cases”; this task has the goal of defining the architecture of the new value-chains and related business models in the demo-cases, also defining the target KPIs that will be used for their validation; this procedure will set the demand-driven specifications for the value-chain.
The final purpose is to generalize DeremCo solutions, for maximizing their exploitation, replication, and multiplication in future industrial scenarios.
EGP also contributes to task 4.5 about “Support to standardization and legislation”, with a focus on standardization as a major issue to the market. Specific recommendations for policy makers on how the legislation should be improved to promote the reuse of fiber-reinforced plastics and maintain a high level of safety, will also be provided.
