O.P.S. BREZNIK PROIZVODNJA IN STORITVE D.O.O. (O.P.S. Breznik)
The beginnings of the company O.P.S BREZNIK date back to 1991, when the Bojan Breznik s.p. trade workshop was established. The company’s main activity was the production of plastic injection moulding tools. Due to increased production, the company moved into a new production facility in 1999 and began intensive modernisation. The new production activity, plastic injection moulding, began in 2005. Throughout the years, we expanded our sales, invested in modern machinery, employed new colleagues and in 2014, due to shortage of space, we began constructing a modern industrial production hall in the industrial zone in Muta. An important milestone was the transformation from sole proprietor to a limited liability company, O.P.S. BREZNIK d.o.o., on 5 March 2015.
Our main activities are production of plastic injection moulding tools and production of plastic products.
PRODUCTION OF PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDING TOOLS:
We manufacture the most demanding tools for products where tolerances for plastic parts are measured in hundredths of a millimetre. Our production facility for plastic injection moulding tools is equipped with contemporary CNC machines and state-of-the-art equipment for machine design and programming. Machinery in our production is 5-axis machining centre, 3-axis machining centre, sinking erosions, wire erosions, grinding machines, laser beam welding machine and 3D measuring machine.
PRODUCTION OF PLASTIC PRODUCTS:
In 2022, we manufactured approximately 15.500,000 different plastic pieces. 90% of our products are OEM products for the automotive industry and 10% of other products. Our production is based on modern CNC machines for plastic injection moulding, a central system for the conveying and drying of granulate and state-of-the-art control and measuring machine. Our machinery comprises injection moulding machines with clamping forces between 25 and 100 tons.
VISION:
We wish to become an innovative company that will offer our customers comprehensive services from product development to serial deliveries of parts for the automotive industry. To achieve these goals, we live by our values, which are continuous improvement, personal approach, adaptability and responsiveness.
ROLE IN THE PROJECT
Mounting key are plastic parts produced at OPS Breznik. Our goal is to offer more sustainable version for our custumers. The weight of mounting key is approx. 75 g and the addition of reinforcement is 30 wt. %. In the project, OPS Breznik wants to show the possibility to use the recycled glass fibers as reinforcement for thermoplastic composites for mounting key. Therefore, the waste glass composite material from Technol (waste composite parts) will be used as reinforcement (waste composite fibers) and nucleating agent (waste composite matrix) together with the needed additives for the thermoplastic composite. The amount of waste glass fibres will define mechanical and thermal properties, the amount of waste matrix will define the morphology of thermoplastic composite resin. We expect approx. 45 wt.% of addition of waste glass fibers and approx. 0,5 % of addition of waste matrix in the thermoplastic composites. The prototypes will be made in cooperation with project partners. Additionally, the compounding of the recycled glass fibers will be tested and conducted on the injection moulding machine with the side fidding of recycled glass fibers, to prevent the length of the glass fibers.
Our company will update the injection molding machine with a system for directly adding of recycled glass fibersand testing will be conducted at FTPO in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano, Tampereen Korkeakoulusaatio and Fundacion techalia research & innovation.Partner
