R&D CONSULTING GMBH & CO KG (R&D)
The R&D (Research & Development) GmbH & Co KG is a technical office as well as a private research & development company, which develops technical concepts in different sectors of industry.
The services range from thought showering and the reengineering of products to the production of prototypes.
The company provides and uses the latest production technologies. The focus of the R&D is on material and polymer technologies, with a special emphasis on the usage of natural fibers. Furthermore, the company converts natural products to produce fiber and matrix components and supports the production of sandwich constructions for wind turbines etc.
ROLE IN THE PROJECT
We have already taken part in several other projects in which we were mainly responsible for the preparation of recycling concepts and LCAs. Our main tasks in the DeremCo project will be the following:
- development of innovative repair and recycling concepts for natural fiber composites together with Wood K plus
- evaluation of fiber molding after mechanical recycling and particle preparation
- usage of long and short fiber fractions
