Greenthesis

With more than thirty years of experience in the green economy sector, Greenthesis is one of the main national players in integrated waste management, urban and industrial, and in the regeneration of contaminated sites. The industrial group, which Greenthesis is the leader of, pursues a business model oriented to the recovery and valorization of materials according to the distinctive principles of circular economy and environmental sustainability, combining their established know-how with the development of innovative technologies to support the ongoing ecological transition.

FiberEUseTech

Fibereuse Tech is a startup born in 2023 to address the hurdles in GFRP recycling. Thanks to the expertise of the team in GFRP treatment, from size reduction to reprocessing, it is able to implement real and robust circular value-chains, following a cross-sectorial demand-driven approach.

The activities of Fibereuse Tech in DeremCo covered the preparation of recycled material, both through mechanical and thermal processes, together with the development of mats embedding recycled glass fibers for different applications, from construction to automotive, sports equipment or marine.

The future goal is to commercialize these mats and produce design products that incorporate recycled materials.

Politecnico di Milano – DMEC

Politecnico di Milano is an esteemed Italian university in Engineering, Architecture, and Design. Within this institution, the Mechanical Department is internationally recognized for its contributions to culture, research, and innovation, also coordinating DeremCo through Professor Marcello Colledani.

Research activities have focused on the optimization of mechanical recycling processes through a demand-driven approach, but also to multiplication, policy actions, and IPR management, monitoring and supporting all the demo-cases.

The goal is to become a reference point in the field of recycling composites, facilitating the development of robust circular value chains throughout Europe.

FTPO

FTPO (Faculty of Polymer Technology) is a leading academic and research institution in Slovenia, specializing in polymer materials and technologies. It focuses on education, research, and strong cooperation with industry.

FTPO's research covers various key areas, including polymer synthesis and 3D printing materials, polymer processing techniques such as injection moulding and compounding, composite development (both thermoplastic and thermosetting), recycling, circular economy, biodegradation testing and lifecycle analysis (LCA)

Specialized in composite material reprocessing and reformulation, as well as material characterization and testing, FTPO will validate and certify the achieved KPIs within the Slovenian demo cases.

Together with project partners Politecnico di Milano, Tampereen Korkeakoulusaatio, and Fundación Tecnalia Research & Innovation, FTPO will develop tailored solutions for all project partners' demo cases. FTPO also leads WP6 (Replication and Multiplication by the De- and Remanufacturing for Circular Economy partnership and the Screen Policy Lab).

Enel Green Power

Enel is a global leader in energy generation, distribution and sales, operating in 28 countries. The Group has an installed capacity of over 87 GW, including 56 GW from renewable sources.

Enel, within the DeremCo project, is responsible for the definition of the techno-economic requirements and targets of the interregional demo cases and for maximizing the exploitation in future industrial scenarios. Enel is also supporting the definition of recommendations for policy makers on how legislation should be improved to promote the reuse of fiber-reinforced polymers.

Enel is and will actively collaborate with suppliers to reduce equipment environmental impacts, manage assets for life extension and maximize materials recovering.
