DeremCo is proud to join the first edition of the YouRban Festival, taking place at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan from September 26 to October 5, 2025. The initiative is part of the European YouRban project, coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and brings to Milan the first mobile plant for the regeneration of reinforced plastic waste. The festival brings together experts, citizens, artists and  urban factories to celebrate circularity and sustainable innovation through workshops, performances, and hands-on experiences.

This year’s program strongly resonates with DeremCo’s mission. Both YouRban and DeremCo share a commitment to creativity, material regeneration, and the transition to circular economy models. Among the festival’s highlights is Europe’s first mobile plant for composite plastic waste regeneration, a clear example of how innovation and collaboration can drive industrial transformation an ambition also at the heart of DeremCo.

Throughout the ten days, DeremCo will host an exhibition space where visitors can discover products created from regenerated composite materials. These tangible examples illustrate how manufacturing waste can be turned into valuable resources through advanced processes and cross-sector collaboration. The exhibition is also a place for dialogue, inviting participants to reflect on the opportunities circularity offers for both industry and society.

On October 1st, from 18:00 to 19:00, DeremCo will take part in the official program with a dedicated session focused on the Lombardy Use Case. This event will present concrete industrial results achieved in the region, showcasing how local SMEs, institutions, and innovators are adopting circular processes, reducing waste, and experimenting with new business models. Lombardy’s experience demonstrates how regional ecosystems can become drivers of sustainable growth, offering replicable strategies for other European territories.

The YouRban Festival is free to attend upon registration, either in advance or on-site, making it open and accessible to all. DeremCo warmly invites professionals, companies, and citizens to explore the exhibition and take part in the Lombardy Use Case session. It is an opportunity to experience first-hand how research, innovation, and collaboration can shape a future that is sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful in line with the vision of the New European Bauhaus.
