FIBEREUSE TECH S.R.L.
Fibereuse Tech S.r.l. (FIBER) is an Italian company specializing in the recycling and reuse of composite materials, particularly glass fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP). FIBER is an innovative start up established in 2023, emerged from the European FiberEUse project, which aimed to demonstrate large-scale circular economy value chains for end-of-life fiber-reinforced composites.
FIBER supports companies in the composite materials sector in implementing circular economy practices through mechanical recycling, integrating the entire value chain in a cross-sectoral manner to transform waste into new high value products, thus eliminating landfill.
Thanks to FIBER technology, it is possible to predict the dimensional distribution of the grinded material. Energy consumption, tool consumption, and process costs are optimised with a specific software according to the characteristics of the material to be treated and the desired dimensional distribution.
FIBER’s activities will focus on studying and developing smart demanufacturing processes and improving reprocessing technologies. In particular, FIBER will use thermal recycling to obtain long fibers for producing non-woven mats for the construction sector.
