Training for the Circular Economy of Composite Materials
The DeremCo training platform is a free online tool designed to equip professionals with practical, up-to-date skills for recycling and reusing composite materials in line with circular economy principles. Aimed at technicians, researchers, and industry stakeholders, the platform offers a structured path to gain both foundational and advanced knowledge essential for implementing innovative End-of-Life (EoL) material solutions.
Hosted on a dedicated Moodle platform, the course includes main lessons and 8 tutorial videos developed by project partners, focusing on key processes such as:
- Introduction to EoL composites treatment
- Mechanical pretreatment of composites
- Compounding for recycling of thermosetting matrix
- Upcycling of thermoplastic composite: mounting key
The course offering may be expanded in the future to include new technologies, best practices, and insights from ongoing project developments.
Each module provides technical explanations, a video tutorial and a self-assessment test to support learning and track progress. Completion of the first lesson is required to unlock the subsequent modules, ensuring a step-by-step learning approach.
