“Transforming Windblade and Industrial Waste into Durable New Materials: Innovations from the DeremCo Project”
In an exclusive interview with Večer, representatives from the Faculty of Polymer Technology (FTPO) discussed their work on the DeremCo project, which focuses on creating new materials from waste windblades and industrial composites. They have successfully produced items such as mulcher covers and ski binding rails from these recycled materials. The project aims to locally close circular loops for composites by utilizing industrial waste from Slovenian companies, enhancing sustainability and reducing landfill use. The new thermoplastic composites show promise for long-term durability, potentially lasting 50 to 100 years.
